Jinjiang Action Park is a large amusement park in Shanghai's Xuhui District featuring more than 40 attractions spread across a vast area. The park offers several roller coasters, water rides, and dark rides to suit different preferences.
The site was established in 1984 by the Jinjiang Group as an entertainment center and marked the start of the modern amusement park era in the Shanghai region. It has since grown into one of the city's major leisure destinations.
The park serves as a popular meeting place for Shanghai residents, especially young couples during weekdays and families on weekends. This site shows how much amusement parks have become part of the city's social life.
The park is easy to reach by Shanghai Metro Line 1 at Jinjiang Park station or by one of many bus routes serving the area. The grounds are quite large, so plan enough time and wear comfortable shoes.
The signature feature is a 108-meter tall Ferris wheel with 42 illuminated cabins that rotates slowly and offers views over the city. The ride lasts about 25 minutes and remains one of the most popular attractions.
