Jiuxiang Scenic Region is a cave complex in Yiliang County featuring five main zones connected by underground waterways. The areas include Diehong Bridge, Sanjiao Cave, Dasha Dam, Alulong, and Mingyue Lake, each with distinct geological formations and landscape characteristics.
This cave system remained largely unexplored until tourism development began in 1994. The establishment of visitor infrastructure transformed the natural formations into an organized destination for geological study and education.
The Yi and Hui ethnic groups maintain their traditional practices within the region, with Mi Zhi Lin forest serving as a ceremonial space.
