Lufeng Dinosaur Museum

The Lufeng Dinosaur Museum displays four complete dinosaur skeletons in its main hall, with these specimens ranging between 2.4 and 9 meters in length. The exhibition also features numerous fossil remains and archaeological finds that document the region's deep prehistoric past.

Farmers first uncovered dinosaur bones in Lufeng during 1938, sparking organized excavations that followed. These efforts revealed around 150 complete skeletons and countless individual fossils from the site.

The halls here showcase ancient bronze vessels, pottery, and early human forms that reflect what local archaeologists have found over time. These collections help visitors understand the different periods that shaped the region's past.

The museum provides guided tours with expert explanations to help you understand the displays and fossils. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance, and group rates are available for school visits.

The excavation site display shows fossils still partially buried in the ground, letting visitors actually touch genuine dinosaur bones. This hands-on experience gives a rare glimpse into how paleontologists work in the field.
