Landmark East, Commercial skyscraper in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong.
Landmark East is a two-tower office complex in the Ngau Tau Kok area of Hong Kong's Kwun Tong District, rising above a neighborhood that was once dominated by factories. The two towers have angled glass facades and are connected to each other at the base by shared facilities and a direct link to the public rail network.
Kwun Tong was for decades one of Hong Kong's main industrial areas, home to factories and warehouses, before city planners decided to redevelop it as a second major business hub. Landmark East was built as part of that shift and was among the early large-scale office projects to take shape in the area.
The towers sit in the part of Kowloon East that has shifted from factory floors to corporate offices over recent decades, and this change is visible in the mix of people and businesses found inside. Visitors walking through the lobby encounter a busy professional world that feels connected to the wider city rather than confined to a single district.
The complex sits next to Ngau Tau Kok MTR station, so arriving by train is the most straightforward option and avoids any parking concerns. If you are driving, parking is available on site, but the train connection makes it easy to reach from most parts of Hong Kong.
The angled shape of the towers is not just a visual choice but is designed to reduce direct sunlight hitting the glass surfaces, which lowers the load on the building's cooling systems. This means the form of the building does practical work that most visitors passing through would never think about.
