Pok Fu Lam Public Library, Public library in Southern District, Hong Kong.
Pok Fu Lam Public Library occupies units 611-619 of Wah Chun House within Wah Fu Estate, serving the Southern District community. The facility holds book collections, study desks, and learning spaces designed for visitors of all ages.
The facility's management system was modernized in 2009 when the Virtua automation system replaced the earlier Dynix platform that had been in use since 1999. This upgrade significantly improved how collections were managed and accessed digitally.
The library maintains separate collections for adults and children, reflecting how the community uses the space for learning at different life stages. Each section is designed with its own character to serve these distinct visitor groups.
The library is accessible by buses 4, 4X, 38, 40, 40M, 41A, 42, 43M, 48, and 73, making it convenient to reach from different parts of the district. Visitor parking is available within the Wah Fu Estate grounds near the library entrance.
During exam periods from March to May, the library sets aside dedicated study rooms with priority access for card holders. This seasonal arrangement helps students during their most intensive study seasons.
