Tomb of Wen Tianxiang

The Tomb of Wen Tianxiang is a nationally protected memorial site featuring traditional Chinese architectural forms and stone sculptures arranged across a historic burial ground. The complex is surrounded by pine forests and landscaped gardens that connect various commemorative structures and inscribed monuments.

This burial site was established to honor a Song Dynasty figure who refused submission to Mongol rule in the late 13th century. The entire complex received official protection as a national cultural site in 2013.

The site bears the name of a prominent statesman whose acts of defiance are remembered by visitors as a statement against capitulation. Stone inscriptions and memorial structures serve as tangible reminders of his moral convictions and continue to shape how people understand courage and integrity.

The burial ground is accessed on foot via stone pathways that lead through the site connecting various memorial structures. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as the terrain is uneven and involves movement between different commemorative areas.
