PreZero-Arena, Football stadium in Sinsheim, Germany
The PreZero-Arena is an association football venue in Sinsheim, Germany, with four stands and a total of 30,150 seats for spectators. The facility offers separate sections for home fans and visiting supporters, along with modern amenities for players and media personnel.
The venue opened on January 24, 2009, replacing the former Dietmar-Hopp-Stadion as the new home ground for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Construction took two years and created a modern facility for Bundesliga matches.
The name PreZero-Arena comes from a waste management company that purchased naming rights, using the venue to promote its brand across the region. On match days, supporters from throughout the metropolitan area fill the stands to watch their team play at home.
The railway station Sinsheim-Museum/Arena is located right next to the venue, and on match days additional shuttle buses run from Sinsheim main station. Visitors should arrive early to avoid waiting times at security checks and to find their seats in time.
The venue stands in a small town with only about 3,600 residents, making it the largest football arena in proportion to local population in German professional football. On match days, the number of spectators exceeds the town's population by eight times.
