Künzell, Municipality in Fulda district, Germany
The municipality extends over 30.29 square kilometers of land at an elevation of 336 meters in the state of Hesse, near Fulda city.
A monk named Chindolf established the first settlement in 743, giving rise to the original name Chindecella which evolved into present-day Künzell.
The municipality maintains international connections through its partnership with the English village of Rustington, fostering cultural exchanges between both communities.
The municipality contains eight distinct subdivisions, including Künzell-Bachrain, Pilgerzell, Engelhelms, Dirlos, Dietershausen, Keulos, Wissels, and Dassen, each with local services.
The Loheland educational institution, located in the Dirlos subdivision, combines educational programs with agricultural activities in a natural setting.
