König Palast

König Palast is a modern multipurpose hall in Krefeld with a capacity of around 8,000 seats for ice hockey events and up to 9,500 visitors for concerts. The structure features multiple levels with glass panels on the exterior walls that can display different lighting patterns.

Construction of this modern hall began in August 2003 to replace the aging Rheinlandhalle. The building opened in December 2004, marking a fresh start for the city's event infrastructure.

This venue serves as the home for the Krefeld Pinguine ice hockey team and hosts national tournaments like the Deutschland Cup. It shapes the city's sports culture and regularly draws fans to matches and events.
