Leuchtturm List West

Leuchtturm List West is a navigation structure on the North Sea coast near List auf Sylt and features a cast iron construction with a white exterior. It stands about 11 meters tall and emits light signals in white, green, and red to guide ships through the waters.

This structure was built by the Danish Kingdom in 1857 and began operations in 1858. It was Germany's first cast iron lighthouse of its kind and shaped the history of North Sea navigation.
