Burg Bieberstein

Burg Bieberstein is a castle ruin perched on a rocky slope near Wiehl that overlooks the valley below. The remaining stone walls display the solid construction typical of a medieval defensive structure from this region.

The castle was first mentioned in written records in 1342 and served as a regional fortification during the Middle Ages. It was gradually abandoned and stands today only as ruins.
