Burg Steinegg, Medieval castle in Neuhausen, Germany.

The stone walls of Steinegg Castle rise from an elevated position in the Enzkreis region, featuring late medieval architectural elements and fortified structures.

Constructed in 1150 by Adalbert von Steinegg, the castle changed ownership to Wolf I von Stain in 1324 and later to the Gemmingen family in 1407.

The castle chapel, built in 1520, represents the religious practices of nobility and serves as a center for Protestant parish activities in the region.

The Protestant parish of Pforzheim currently manages the castle complex, which underwent substantial reconstruction to function as a recreational facility.

The castle survived the Thirty Years War without major damage due to the contributions of its lords, maintaining its original structural integrity.
