Dat ole Huus, Farmhouse museum in Wilsede, Germany
The Low German house museum displays traditional household items and farming tools used in the Lüneburg Heath region during the nineteenth century.
Built in 1742, the farmhouse structure was purchased by teacher Bernhard Dageförde in 1907, who moved it from Hanstedt to Wilsede to create this museum.
The museum demonstrates how farmers and animals lived together under one roof, illustrating daily routines and agricultural methods of the heath region.
Located in a car-free zone, visitors can reach the museum by hiking, cycling, or taking horse-drawn carriages from parking areas in Niederhaverbeck or Undeloh.
The attached Emhoff sheep barn features rotating exhibitions about heath farming, with parts of its kitchen dating back to approximately 1540.
