Dominikanerkloster Soest, Dominican monastery and church in Soest, Germany.
The Dominican monastery complex includes a medieval church building and a preserved wing connected to a neighboring department store.
Founded between 1228 and 1232, the monastery remained active until 1812, with the Holy Cross monastery church standing until its demolition in 1820.
The monastery belonged to the Teutonia Order Province before shifting to Saxonia Province, causing conflicts with Cologne archbishops who maintained Teutonia allegiance.
The preserved monastery wing contains medical facilities, while the street name Brüderstraße and Mönchshof inn reference the former presence of Dominican friars.
In 1754, the monastery housed 40 brothers, though by its dissolution in 1814 only seven priests and five lay brothers remained.
