Drüggelter Kapelle

The Drüggelter Chapel is a small religious structure in Möhnesee with a distinctive twelve-sided shape. The interior is supported by twelve outer columns and four inner columns that create an unusual spatial arrangement.

The structure dates to the 12th century and first appeared in written records in 1217 in connection with a journey to the Holy Land. Its origins lie in a period when the region was influenced by local noble families.

The chapel serves today as a venue for chamber concerts and hosts the Drüggelter Kunst-Stückchen music festival throughout the year. This use connects the site's religious character with contemporary cultural events.
