Flugabwehrlehrregiment 6, Military training regiment in Lütjenburg, Germany
Flugabwehrlehrregiment 6 was a ground-based air defense training regiment of the German Army, based in Lütjenburg, Schleswig-Holstein. The unit trained soldiers on weapon systems such as the Gepard anti-aircraft tank and Stinger missiles, organizing instruction through battery commands and support sections.
The unit was founded on 31 August 1956 in Schleswig under the name Panzerflugabwehrartilleriebataillon 3 and went through several redesignations over the following decades. It took its final name, Flugabwehrlehrregiment 6, in 2007, reflecting how German Army air defense had evolved since the early years of the Bundeswehr.
