St. Jakob, Medieval chapel in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany.
This brick Gothic chapel features a southwest gable wall, consecration crosses, and two sacrament niches within its 10-meter tall structure.
Built in 1315 as part of the Jakob Hospital, the chapel was moved 11 meters west in 1892 to accommodate road expansion plans.
The chapel served travelers along trade routes, preventing sick pilgrims from entering the city while providing them with necessary religious services.
The structure currently operates as a studio and exhibition space, hosting readings and concerts under the management of the Wredowsche Zeichenschule foundation.
The chapel earned the nickname 'Verrückte Kapelle' due to its complete relocation, commemorated by a plaque marking this engineering achievement.
