Erlebnistierpark Jägerhof, Animal park and zoo in Pfullendorf, Germany.
Erlebnistierpark Jägerhof is an animal park and zoo in Pfullendorf that spans about 2.5 hectares and displays more than 300 animals from around 100 different species. Visitors encounter alpacas, macaques, coatis, and numerous other creatures throughout the grounds.
The park was established in 2001 on a former gravel pit site as part of the regional project 'Natur in Stadt und Land' under Josef Jäger's direction. This transformation of an industrial area into a recreational space showed an innovative approach to land use from the start.
The park added a Western-themed section in 2013 with a saloon, tipis, and sheriff's office that lets visitors explore American frontier culture playfully. This themed area attracts families who want to learn about history in an entertaining way.
The park offers animal feedings to watch and guided tours for visitors of all ages. On weekends, children can enjoy pony rides between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM.
The facility was the only establishment in the Oberschwaben and Lake Constance region that offered professional training for aspiring zookeepers. This specialized training role made the place much more than just a leisure park for visitors.
