Olsberg is a 703.8 m high northern spur of the Heidkopf (715.3 m) in the Rothaargebirge, rising directly southeast of Olsberg's Gierskopp district. Its north summit carries a trigonometric point at 703.2 m; the south summit reaches 701 m. The WDR transmitter Olsberg, with its 58 m tower built in 1984, stands about 430 m south-southeast of the main summit.

The name Olsberg is shared by the 703.8 m mountain and the town directly northwest of it, whose eastern district Gierskopp lies at its foot. The summit's north top carries a trigonometric point at 703.2 m, while the south top reaches 701 m. Since 1984 a 58 m transmission tower of the WDR station Olsberg has stood about 430 m south-southeast of the summit, broadcasting radio and DAB.
