Erinnerungsstätte Matthias Erzberger

Located in Matthias Erzberger's birthplace, the museum presents eleven stations documenting the life and political activities of this German statesman through original artifacts.

The museum opened in September 2004 following an initiative by Baden-Württemberg Minister-President Erwin Teufel, with support from multiple regional foundations.

The exhibition details Erzberger's role in German democracy, from his position as the youngest member of parliament to his transformation of the national financial system.

The museum welcomes visitors from April to October on Sundays and public holidays between 13:00 and 17:00, with audio guides available in German and French.

The museum contains documents and media installations showing how Erzberger signed the 1918 armistice and later introduced financial reforms that influence Germany today.
