Findlingspark Henzendorf

Findlingspark Henzendorf is a sculpture garden displaying over 2000 stone works spread across four hectares with different artistic styles. The pieces stand along paths that wind through the nature reserve, making it easy to explore the collection systematically.

A Berlin sculptor founded the park in 1992 using stones from former mining areas in the region. The works draw inspiration from artistic traditions of ancient civilizations such as the Hittites and Celts.

The artists shaped the stones to reflect old artistic traditions and invite visitors to think about past cultures. You can discover different carving styles as you walk and understand how ancient peoples created meaningful forms from stone.

The park has no entrance fees or set hours, allowing you to visit anytime that suits your schedule. The paths cross the grounds and are generally walkable, though wear sturdy shoes and bring water if you plan to spend several hours exploring.

Many visitors overlook that the stones originally came from mining areas, and the artists transformed old quarry wounds into artworks. This transformation makes each sculpture a symbol of healing and the reuse of local resources.
