Ohrengipfel, Mountain summit in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
The Ohrengipfel reaches an elevation of 652 meters above sea level and stands as the highest point in the municipality of Riesbürg.
During the Thirty Years War in 1634, General Gustaf Horn led Swedish troops across the Ohrengipfel mountain toward the Battle of Nördlingen.
The area surrounding Ohrengipfel was formerly named Karthäuserhau, reflecting its connection to the nearby Kartäuser Valley with its religious heritage.
The mountain features multiple resting benches at its flat summit and connects to the Swabian Alb North Rim Trail maintained by the Bopfingen group.
In 1900, a 12.7-meter-high observation platform was constructed on the summit, offering views extending south to the Zugspitze and north to Hesselberg.
