Schloss Kalbeck

Schloss Kalbeck is a manor house with a square tower and multiple outbuildings set within a restored baroque garden complex near Weeze. The bell dome crowning the tower provides a distinctive accent to the estate's architectural composition.

The estate traces back to 1326 when Count Rainald II of Geldern granted the property as a feudal holding to Dirk Loef III of Kleve. The current building was constructed between 1906 and 1910, drawing inspiration from the design of Schloss Werries in Westphalia.

The chapel here remains an active place of worship with regular services that connect the estate to local spiritual life. It serves as a quiet spiritual anchor for the community and reflects the religious role the site has held for generations.

The estate is located at Rentei Kalbeck in Weeze and is primarily open for group visits by prior arrangement. It is best to contact ahead to confirm visiting availability and organize a guided tour for your group.
