Course de côte de Trier, Hill climbing race course in Trier-Saarburg, Germany
The Course de côte de Trier is a hill climbing race course in the Trier-Saarburg region. The route follows a road between the towns of Fell and Thomm with several tight turns along the ascent.
The hill climb race took place from 1990 to 2011 and served as an important competition in the European hillclimbing calendar during that period. The event ended after 2011 and the course is no longer used for racing.
German hill climbing competitions operate independently, following local traditions rather than adhering to a national championship structure.
The course features significant elevation gain and presents drivers with sections of varying steepness. Visitors should note this is a former racing venue and the road now carries only regular traffic.
Italian racer Simone Faggioli established the track record in 2010, completing the ascent in 89 seconds at 148.954 kilometers per hour.
