Flauchersteg, Pedestrian bridge over Isar River in Munich, Germany.

The Flauchersteg is a footbridge that crosses the Isar River, linking different districts of Munich on both banks. The structure allows visitors to walk across the river and explore the surrounding green areas that extend along both sides.

The area was named after an inn established in 1870 that marked the start of recreational development in this region. The bridge itself came later to serve the growing need for pedestrian and cycling access across the river.

The Flaucher area functions as a social hub where residents gather during warm months to enjoy riverside activities. The location has become part of local summer culture and outdoor traditions.

The bridge is easily accessible via the U3 underground line to Brudermühlstraße station and serves as a starting point for walking or cycling along the river. Paths extend from both sides, offering several options for exploring the surrounding area.

The bridge crosses over a section where the Isar River creates natural cascades and white water. These rapids form an interesting feature that gives the crossing a dynamic character.
