Wachenburg

Wachenburg is a castle built in Romanesque Revival style sitting on a hilltop near Weinheim. The structure features a prominent tower, multiple rooms designed for gatherings, and a viewing platform overlooking the surrounding forests and valleys.

Construction took place between 1907 and 1928, with the building created as a memorial for those who died in an earlier conflict. This project remained one of Germany's most recent castle constructions for decades.
