Kulturpark Neubrandenburg

Kulturpark Neubrandenburg extends from Lake Tollensee toward the city center, featuring themed gardens, playgrounds, boat rentals, a vivarium, and dining options. The grounds are woven with artworks and connected by paths that link different sections together.

The area was known as Werderbruch in medieval times, a swampy region that provided natural protection for the town. In the late 1960s, this land was transformed and redesigned into a modern cultural space.

The park displays artworks from regional artists that have shaped the grounds since its creation and reflect various forms of creative expression. Visitors encounter these works throughout their walk and experience the creative connection between nature and art.

The park features extensive walking paths and inviting spaces to pause along the way. Visitors should explore different sections depending on their interests, since playgrounds, gardens, and lake access are spread throughout the grounds.

Two Neolithic stone cists were relocated to the southern border zone, adding prehistoric depth to the site. These archaeological elements link the ancient history of the region with the modern landscape experience.
