Fürstenwall, Cultural heritage park in Old Town, Magdeburg, Germany.
The Fürstenwall spans across a wide promenade featuring tree-lined paths, green spaces, and views over the Elbe River and Rotehorn Park.
The park stands on former medieval fortifications, transformed in 1725 under Prince Leopold von Anhalt-Dessau into a 12-meter-wide recreational area.
The park contains monuments including a war memorial from 1877 and a commemorative bust of Karl Friedrich Friesen, founder of German gymnastics.
The park underwent extensive renovations in 2020, receiving new flowering shrubs, perennials, and pathway improvements for enhanced visitor experience.
The preserved Bastion Cleve features a medieval defense tower and a former gunpowder magazine later repurposed as a wine cellar.
