Höchster Stadtpark

Höchster Stadtpark is a large green space featuring a pond crossed by an arched bridge, alongside open grassy areas and century-old trees that provide shade. The site also includes mineral springs and community garden plots tended by local residents.

The park was created between 1908 and 1911 under Mayor Viktor Palleske's initiative, designed by Robert Waldecker to transform swampy land into a public recreational area. This project established the space as part of the city's broader vision for green infrastructure.

The park serves as a gathering place for the district where people walk, rest, and maintain community gardens among the mature trees. It functions as one of several interconnected green spaces that support outdoor recreation throughout the city.

The park is easily accessible by public transport and has parking available nearby. Walking paths can become slippery after rain, so sturdy footwear is recommended for a comfortable visit.
