Großes Militärwaisenhaus

The Great Military Orphanage is a Baroque-era complex with a distinctive columned chapel at its center. The entire compound was designed to house both living quarters and classrooms for its residents.

The institution was founded in 1724 to care for and educate children of fallen soldiers. It served an important role throughout the 18th century in supporting these orphaned children.
