Güterverkehrszentrum Bremen is a large logistics hub located in the port region that handles the movement of freight across different transport modes. The facility contains warehouses, transfer areas, and transport connections that allow companies to manage and move goods efficiently.

Construction of the GVZ Bremen began in 1985 on land in Seehausen, Strom and the Häfen district. The site had been marshland with ditches where water and wading birds, including the penduline tit, bred; these biotopes were destroyed. As compensation, the Ochtumniederung near Brokhuchting was placed under protection from 1998. By 2012, half of the 472 hectares was occupied.

Around 8,000 people work at the roughly 150 companies based in the GVZ, among them logistics-intensive firms such as Tchibo and the DPD parcel centre. The site lies on land in Seehausen, Strom and the Häfen district, and the GVZ Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH both runs the centre and represents the resident companies' interests.

The center sits near major transport routes and the port, making it straightforward to access from different directions. It is important to know that this is a working hub for companies rather than a tourist destination.

The BLG Logistics Group operates Europe's largest high-bay warehouse at the GVZ. The site also has an integrated combined transport terminal and a feeder service via Neustädter Hafen. The operator, GVZ Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, also represents the interests of the roughly 150 resident companies.
