Hochheideturm, Observation tower in Willingen, Germany
The Hochheideturm rises 59 meters above the ground, featuring a glass observation platform that accommodates up to 100 visitors at once.
The concrete tower opened its doors on October 18, 2002, marking a new chapter in the development of tourism infrastructure in North Hesse.
The tower serves as a central point for outdoor activities in the region, connecting numerous hiking trails through the Waldeck-Frankenberg district.
Visitors can reach the observation deck either by taking an eight-person elevator or climbing 241 stairs during operating hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.
The exterior wall includes two climbing routes leading near the summit, making it the highest outdoor climbing wall in Europe.
