Hochheideturm

Hochheideturm is a concrete observation tower in Willingen situated at a height of 59 meters. The structure provides a viewing platform with glass panels that can accommodate up to 100 visitors at the same time.

The concrete structure opened on October 18, 2002, and has defined the region's tourism presence since then. Its construction reflected growing interest in developing visitor facilities within the Hessian highlands.

The tower serves as a gathering point for hikers and nature enthusiasts visiting the area. Many people use it as a starting point for exploring the surrounding forest landscape.

Visitors can reach the viewing platform using an eight-person elevator or by climbing 241 stairs. The facility is generally accessible during operating hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Two climbing routes run along the tower's exterior, leading climbers nearly to the summit. This makes it home to Europe's highest outdoor climbing wall.
