Gut von Hammerstein

The single-winged castle stretches in an east-west direction, featuring four stories, a gabled roof, and a polygonal spiral staircase tower at its front.

First documented in 1055, the castle underwent construction in 1590 and became the property of Baron Friderich Christoph von Hammerstein-Gesmold in 1673.

The interior contains Gothic elements, including columned portals and fireplaces decorated with motifs from antiquity and Northern European artistic traditions.

The estate spans 65,000 square meters and functions as a venue for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations throughout the year.

The garden includes a 150-meter linden tree alley from 1918 and 5,400 perennial plants that create continuous floral displays across seasons.
