Weißes Rössle

The Weißes Rössle building stands at the upper end of Höllental street, where additional horses were once stationed to help wagons climb the steep slope.

The building's origins date back to 1344 when it was first mentioned as a farm estate, transferred from the Lords of Falkenstein to Günterstal Monastery.

The structure underwent a transformation in the 19th century when the road development from Freiburg to Lenzkirch eliminated the need for horse changing stations.

After its closure as a hotel in the 1980s, the building now houses the Földi Clinic for Lymphology, which operates 152 beds across 5 medical stations.

Following a fire in 1925, the reconstruction marked the first separation between agricultural operations and the hotel's hospitality services.
