Jagdschloss Sayneck

Jagdschloss Sayneck was built in 1881 as a hunting lodge by Alexander Graf von Hachenburg and later expanded. The Krupp family, an industrial dynasty, leased the estate from 1884 to 1968.

The château served as a gathering place for hunting societies and reflects German aristocratic hunting traditions of the late 1800s. The buildings and grounds still show how important hunting was to the upper classes of that time.
