The Markuskirche features a robust square tower with small windows and a clock, complemented by a three-nave hall church design with plastered masonry construction.
Following destruction during World War II in August 1943, the church underwent reconstruction with simplified architectural elements and reopened in 1957.
The church serves as a center for religious services, concerts, and community gatherings, connecting residents in the Steglitz neighborhood through various activities.
Located near Steglitz City Park in southwest Berlin, the church offers regular Sunday services and maintains additional facilities in the community house at Albrechtstrasse.
The construction costs in 1911 amounted to 388,000 marks, equivalent to approximately 2.68 million euros in current purchasing power.
