Lurgi House, Office building in Heddernheim, Germany
The Lurgi House features a square central structure with seven annexes extending outward, covering 87,000 square meters of office space in Frankfurt.
Built in 1987 as the first new structure in the Mertonviertel district, the building replaced the former site of Vereinigten Deutschen Metallwerke.
The building's architectural design represents the corporate expansion period of Frankfurt during the late 1980s, when large office complexes emerged across the city.
Multiple transportation connections and extensive parking facilities serve the building, which previously housed the Deutsche Finanzagentur among other tenants.
In 2021, plans were approved to transform the site into a residential complex with 1,100 apartments, schools, kindergartens, and retail spaces.
