Berchtesgaden Chancellery Branch office

The Berchtesgaden Chancellery Branch office is a governmental facility in Bischofswiesen located at 620 meters elevation, featuring a main building with a side wing and staff accommodations. The structure includes an extensive tunnel system connecting different sections of the complex.

Construction began in September 1936, with 620 concrete piles used for the foundation to handle high groundwater levels in the area. The facility later served as a U.S. Army installation until 1995 before its use changed.
