Sender Brandenkopf, Communication tower in Hausach, Germany
The concrete transmission tower reaches 113.7 meters into the sky at an elevation of 950 meters above sea level in the Black Forest region.
Built in 1976, this transmission tower replaced an earlier steel structure from the 1950s and underwent digital broadcasting upgrades in 2007.
The tower serves as a vital communication hub for SWR radio programs, connecting communities across Baden-Württemberg through various broadcast channels.
Deutsche Funkturm maintains this transmission facility, which now focuses solely on radio broadcasting after television signals ceased in 2017.
The tower stands near multiple wind turbines that generate 2 million kilowatt-hours of electrical power annually for the surrounding region.
