Boltenhagen pier

The Boltenhagen pier extends approximately 290 meters into the Baltic Sea and provides access to the water and views of the northern German coastline. The structure connects the beach area to open water and allows visitors to walk out for fishing, swimming access, or simply enjoying views of the sea.

An original pier was built in 1911, but it was destroyed by ice, wind, and water during the winter of 1941 to 1942. The current structure was rebuilt in 1992 and has served as a reconstructed link between the beach and the sea ever since.

The pier serves as a gathering place for fishing and boat excursions throughout the year. Locals and visitors come here regularly to spend time by the water and experience the coast from a different angle.

The pier is easily reached on foot from the town's beach area and provides straightforward access for visitors of all ages. The walkway is open and relatively flat, making strolls possible in any season, though autumn and winter can bring rough conditions.

The pier has a mooring point that is regularly used by boats for excursions and cargo transport. Many visitors do not realize that the structure's endpoint still functions as an active maritime terminal.
