Black Forest Costume Museum

The Black Forest Costume Museum in Haslach im Kinzigtal displays over 100 examples of traditional regional clothing in large glass cases. The collection fills a former Baroque Capuchin monastery with stone walls and vaulted rooms that create an intimate setting for viewing the garments.

The museum opened in 1980 and occupies the only surviving Baroque Capuchin monastery from the 17th century in southern Germany. The building itself reflects the region's religious heritage and shows how the site transformed from monastic life to cultural preservation.
