The Süsterkirche features a polygonal choir, tracery windows, and a net vault that exemplify late Gothic architectural elements throughout its structure.
The church originated in 1491 as part of the Mariental convent, established by Augustinian nuns known as Süstern in the northern section of Bielefeld.
The Protestant-Reformed congregation received ownership of the church through an electoral donation in 1671, transforming it into their primary worship location.
Located at Güsenstraße 22, the church contains a Kleuker organ from 1971 with 25 registers and 1654 pipes for musical performances.
Instead of a traditional baptismal font, the church holds a silver baptismal bowl crafted between 1680 and 1690, marking its most valuable possession.
