Weingut Brüder Dr. Becker, German wine grower and craft producer
Weingut Brüder Dr. Becker is a winery in Ludwigshöhe in Rheinhessen with about 11 hectares (27 acres) of vineyard land on gentle slopes. The estate includes historic buildings with tiled roofs and timber framing, and the vineyards bear names like Falkenberg and Paterhof, producing dry wines on hillside terrain.
The family began winemaking in the mid-1800s and built the main house around 1830, later remodeling it around 1896. Since the 1970s, the estate has focused on environmental care and has been certified under the strict Demeter standards since 2008.
Weingut Brüder Dr. Becker is named after the founding family who have cultivated wine here for generations, passing down their craft through time. Visitors can observe how the family grows regional grape varieties like Riesling and Silvaner while using practices that protect the soil and environment.
Visitors can join guided tours and tastings that show how grapes are grown and processed into wine in the old cellars. The location is accessible by car with convenient parking, and a small shop on-site sells bottles directly.
The groundwater and soil shaped by ancient glaciers give the Riesling grapes grown here rich flavor notes. This special soil composition combined with the nearly Mediterranean climate allows the wines to reflect this glacial history in every sip.
