Weingut von Othegraven, Family wine estate in Kanzem, Germany.

The von Othegraven estate spans 31 acres of steep slopes along the Saar River, cultivating Riesling grapes on weathered slate and quartzite soil.

Napoleon I visited the estate on October 6, 1804, receiving wine in a gold-plated silver goblet that was later sold at Sotheby's in New York.

The estate includes a manor house and English garden, recognized as a cultural heritage monument, featuring exotic trees and traditional wine-making facilities.

Visitors can participate in wine tastings from Monday through Saturday between May and October, with advance reservations required for groups.

The vineyard maintains a continuous wine-growing tradition since the Roman period, with documented evidence from the second to fourth centuries.
