Sassnitz railway station

The station features two platforms and three tracks, positioned at an elevation of 41 meters above sea level on the Jasmund peninsula of Rügen Island.

The railway station opened on July 1, 1891, establishing a connection between Bergen and Sassnitz during the period of seaside tourism development.

The station marks a significant point in European history as the arrival location for Lenin's sealed train during his journey through the German Empire.
