Description
Schlossberg is a prehistoric fortification on a forested hill near Sassnitz on Rügen Island. The rectangular earthwork is bounded by ramparts and ditches that remain visible in the landscape today.
History
The site originated in the Neolithic or Bronze Age and was used over many centuries. Archaeological finds show that people from different periods lived and settled here.
Culture
