Hof Meyer zu Bentrup, Historical estate and watermill in Brönninghausen, Bielefeld, Germany.

Hof Meyer zu Bentrup in Brönninghausen is a historic farm complex with multiple buildings at Salzufler Straße, featuring a watermill beside a millpond. The site displays the typical layout of a medieval estate with well-preserved structures.

The estate was first recorded in 1305 and was transferred to Stift Schildesche by Count Otto III of Ravensberg as a restitution payment. This transfer shifted its management from private to institutional hands during the medieval period.

The chapel on the estate dates from the 15th century and once served as a place of worship for local residents. It still bears traces of its religious purpose, though it declined after the turmoil of the Thirty Years War.

The farm is accessible from the road network and buildings are visible from outside, though entry to the private complex is restricted. Visitors should view the site respectfully from public areas without trespassing on private grounds.

The watermill was built in 1785 and ground grain until 2005, when its traditional equipment was carefully preserved. Today visitors can see the machinery and understand how the mill once operated.
