Leuchtturm Brinkamahof, Cast iron lighthouse in Fishery Harbor, Bremerhaven, Germany.
The Brinkamahof Lighthouse is a cast iron tower in the Fishery Harbor of Bremerhaven, standing 26 meters tall. It features red and white horizontal stripes and now operates as a pub inside its cylindrical structure.
The structure was built in 1912 near Wurster Watt to guide ships through the Wurster Arm waterway. It was relocated to the Fishery Harbor in 1980, where it began operating as a pub.
The lighthouse bears the name of Johann Friedrich Brinkama, a notable farmer and horse breeder who influenced the local agricultural development from 1831 to 1898.
The lighthouse is located at Am Seedeich 57 and is accessible during daytime hours. Visitors can enjoy drinks and snacks inside the narrow, compact space of the tower itself.
A floating crane named Thor transported the entire 130-ton structure across the water to its new location. This unusual moving operation made the lighthouse one of the harbor's most memorable relocations.
