Lindenallee 7, Architectural heritage monument in Marienburg, Germany.
Lindenallee 7 is a two-story villa in Marienburg with seven axes, a clinker brick facade, and Kirchheim shell limestone decorations across its exterior. The building combines formal elements with crafted details that define its appearance from all sides.
The villa was built from 1924 to 1925 and later served as headquarters for the Deutschlandfunk radio station from 1962 to 1979. Following that period, Poland used the house from the late 1980s onward first as an embassy and then until 2013 as a consulate in Cologne.
The house displays English country house style, with architectural elements that suggest a design evolving over time and presenting different faces toward the street and garden. The varying facades reflect an intention to appear distinct depending on the viewing angle.
The house sits in a quiet residential area and is easy to spot from the street. Visitors should note that this is a private building viewable only from the outside.
Sculptor Wolfgang Wallner created the decorative elements for the house while living in Marienburg during its 1924 to 1925 construction period. His craftsmanship remains visible in the ornate details throughout the building.
