Forum Castrop-Rauxel

Forum Castrop-Rauxel is a multipurpose building with several halls and administrative spaces housed in a concrete and glass structure. Architects Arne Jacobsen and Otto Weitling designed a flexible complex with spacious event rooms and functional areas for various uses.

Built in 1966 during the industrial transformation of the Ruhr region, the complex reflects modernization efforts in North Rhine-Westphalia as the area moved beyond coal mining. It became part of the urban renewal that reshaped Castrop-Rauxel.
